Another one follows me home
I am not that fond of this style of mirror (there are not many others who seem to be, either), but as we were touristing in New Bedford, the price for this was so good that I could not resist. Wasn't driving the van, and it just barely fit in the back seat of the Camry. Actually fine as is, but I will tweak a bit to correct some minor imperfections.

Lippitt House, Providence RI
Due to a number of circumstances (including inertia), instead of a major trip, we spent a weekend close to home in Providence, Rhode Island. There were still some places we had not visited there, and first on our list was the Lippitt House, built by a Rhode Island governor in the nineteenth century. As well as being part of a lovely historic neighborhood, it is notable for the survival of its interior finishes.

Boston Portrait
With so much stuff taking up space, I sometimes don't have room to leave projects available, and forget they aren't finished.
I bought this large portrait, typical of the 1850 era. It has a Boston label on the canvas, so assume it is from NE, if not Boston. Apparently it was on a wall where there was a leak, as there is quite a bit of damage, which did not really concern me, as my interest was in the frame. There were some losses, but nothing I couldn't mold from existing ornament.
The white areas are replacements, and I have actually begun the gilding/toning to match them, but the frame had to move back into storage, so might not get finished for a while.
